Champagne is great. In good times, “Champagne!” In bad times, “Champagne!” And in the summer, it is a French girl’s friend. At 65 calories per glass, champagne will help you sip in sophistication while maintaining your figure. The French are known for pairing champagne with other liquors. While mixing often ups the caloric intake, this recipe is one of my favorites because it mixes up the flavors but not too much. Dubonnet is sweet and bitter, hence it only takes a splash to perk up your glass of bubbly. Serve this drink extremely chilled or on the rocks.
3 parts champagne (brut)
1 part Dubonnet
1 wedge of lime
Combine all ingredients in a glass and sip. I enjoy it particularly on a hot, summer day.
